The music of Alphonso Sanders and Bill “Howl-n-Madd” Perry moves the
soul, touches the heart, and opens the mind. The soulful duo blends
guitar, horns, and vocals to define their sound. Their musical roots,
passion and skill make each show, workshop and clinic unique to its
audience - "Blues music in the moment with a life of it's own." Musical
experiences around the world have shaped their blues style and sound.
From ghostly Robert Johnson nights in blues clubs throughout the
Mississippi Delta to stages across the US and abroad the duo plays and
sings the blues. Their music, story filled lyrics and vocal style keep you
entertained and cause you to reflect on the beauty of simple life,
forgetting about your worries and pain.

Their Blues Workshop “The School of Jook and Jam Blues” is a true
educational experience filled with musical training and first hand history
from Mississippi and beyond. Bill shares his guitar concepts for playing
blues band rhythm and solo styles as well as solo acoustic
accompaniment with singing. Alphonso shares his concepts of solo and
section horn playing with blues bands and guitar bluesmen. Alphonso and
Bill love both playing and teaching the blues to all ages. The highlight of
the SJJB (School of Jook and Jam Blues) workshop is the jam session
that follows.

Their hands-on workshop ranges from beginning to advance levels; from
enhancing ones solo performance to insights in organizing and
maintaining a successful blues band. The SJJB draws from a deep well of
established musicians providing the best workshop experience possible
for all in attendance. Each workshop will be designed to accommodate
the skill and interest level of those in attendance. Howl-n-Madd and
Alphonso are committed to the heritage of the blues, its history and
future.

Workshops can range from 1 day to 5 days
Clinics can range from 1 hour to 3 hours

just ask Big George, David Lee, or BB.”
