AN ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY and
THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY FOR BILL "HOWL-N-MADD" PERRY
BILL “HOWL – N – MADD” PERRY

Bill Howl-N-Madd Perry spent his early years
picking cotton in the fields around his
Mississippi home. He was born near
Abbeville, MS on land where his ancestors
had worked as slaves. He went to the same
one-room school that his grandparents had
attended. His family migrated to Chicago
when he was fourteen. Bill hit the road as a
professional musician at the age of
seventeen. His travels have carried him all
over the US, throughout the world and then
back home again to Mississippi. Bill has
been playing his music for over forty years.

Bill is a songwriter, guitarist, and educator.
He worked with B.B. King in the B.B. King
Music workshop at MVSU and opened at the
B.B. King festival in Indianola. He started
Wednesday night blues at Ground Zero
Blues Club in Clarksdale, MS, and continues
to play there on many a Wednesday night.
You can see him perform at many of the
Mississippi festivals that are scheduled for
this spring and summer. He will be doing
some extensive touring in the summer in
California and across the U.S. Bill was
tapped to play the role of The Bluesman in a
film called the Way of War, which stars
Cuba Gooding, Jr. Watch for the release of
this action packed movie.

He received his blues training from legends
like Sonny Thompson (who wrote many of
Freddy King hits). His career stretches back
to Chicago in the early 1970s. He has
written for Lil Johnny Taylor, Ted Taylor, and
Cash McCall. He worked for Phil Chess as a
studio musician and for Stan Lewis where
he wrote for Jewel Paula Records. He did a
stint writing for J.J. Taylor on a Willie Dixon
Label. He has played gigs with Clarence
Carter, Freddy King, T-Bone Walker, Little
Richard, and Lee “Shot” Williams. He played
on a Chuck Berry album, and recently on

FESTIVALS AND TOURS
We have musicians performing in Blues Festivals, Private Parties, Regional and National Blues Clubs – check our website for details and news
about many of these events. We offer many video clips and photos of these musicians mentioned and others on our web site and on YouTube.

Musicians are involved in teaching the Blues as well as being involved in community events. Mississippi is a state that treasures the Musician and
the Blues Heritage. Mississippi Promotes the Blues and established a Blues Trail for the tourists.

We would like to use a quote from the Mississippi Blues Commission at www.msbluestrail.org “The Blues and Mississippi are synonymous to
music lovers. The repertoire of any Blues or rock band is full of songs, guitar licks, and vocal inflections borrowed from Mississippi bluesmen such
as Robert Johnson, Charley Patton, Tommy Johnson, and Son House to Skip James, Mississippi John Hurt, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Sonny Boy
Williamson, Big Joe Williams, Bukka White, and Furry Lewis – just to mention some of the early ones. A couple of generations later, Willie Dixon,
Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, B.B. King, James Cotton, and many others were still making Mississippi Blues and sending it out all over the world.

We invite you to visit us in Mississippi and experience live blues performances or go to see one of our musicians and bands perform when they are
in your area. The blues is alive and doing well in Mississippi!

We invite you to experience Mississippi and to check for the location of the live music events.
